Basins without an overflow tend to be cloakroom basins and vessel basins. Easiest way to look for a basin that doesn't have an overflow is to simply look for a little chrome circle on the picture of the basin. If there is a chrome circle then that's the overflow and you would need a slotted basin waste, if it doesn't have an overflow then you will need an unslotted basin waste.
